no time, no time
Mon 21 Apr 2008 - Filed under: Entertainment, Life, Movies — saintamyjane

I have no time. I am SOOOO behind on homework and I will be getting shitty grades, work is driving me absolutely nuts and I just want to sleep.

I actually slept A LOT over the weekend becasue of a lousy spider bite. No I didnt go to the doctor, and yes I still have my arm.

I have seen the Assasination of Jesse James byt the Coward Robert Ford, Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Brokeback Mountain in the last month. An needless to say I have a new outlook on men and what drives them to stupidity. LOL I really did love all three of those movies, but they scared me for life.

Check out my flickr because I have two lame videos up.

I can’t think of anything fun to do so Im getting more tats soon. Oh and finish paying off debts and bills. blah.

gloom and doom turns to laugh therapy
Sat 26 Jan 2008 - Filed under: Entertainment, Life, Movies — saintamyjane

So I have decided to take on Laugh Therapy. I just think its hilarious and I am fighting off a smile as I write this. I was so suprised at the benefit of laughing. I mean I knew it was good to laugh, but who knew that it was that good for you? I need to relieve some stress and get more positive thoughts going through my mind. I have been way down lately and I need to change that around.

So I guess we will Laugh our a**es off everyday at a movie, you tube video’s, funny memories, or jokes. This should be quite entertaining and possibly healing for my soul.

R.I.P. Heath Ledger
Wed 23 Jan 2008 - Filed under: Family, Life, Movies — saintamyjane

I was never a weird insane fan, but a fan I was. I always admired him becasue he didn’t take every movie role and he seemed to steer himself away from doing anymore teen movies. I loved him in the Patriot, his performance in Monsters Ball was great and A Knights Tale was funny to say the least. I have been meaning to see Cassanova since it came out, but haven’t yet. And then there is Brokeback Mountain which I still need to see. Once in awhile I would look him up on the internet to see what he was up to because he just didn’t force himself down peoples throats. I was actually reading recently that he was going to be the new Joker in the new Batman movie coming out this summer. I really thought that was a brilliant decision by whoever casted him. I knew as soon as I read that my interest was renewed in Batman.

It is a shame that some one so talented and seemed like such a great guy could go like that. Its a shame when anyone goes, but I think this was different. He wasn’t a drug addict and he wasn’t plastered all over the tabloids. I will probably have a Heath Ledger movie-a-thon.

My family’s thoughts and well wishes go out to Heath’s Family and Friends. I know he was more to them than he was to his audience, but we appreciated him just the same.

Johnny Depp is too cool
Thu 29 Nov 2007 - Filed under: Entertainment, Movies — saintamyjane

I love all of Johnny Depp’s Movies. I think two of his best roles were in Fear and loathing in Las Vegas and Once Upon A time In Mexico.

In Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Johnny Depp portrays Hunter S. Thompson’s character Raoul Duke. This part was classic. Johnny Realy hit the nail on the head. I was always so impressed on how he got into the roll and became Raoul Duke/Hunter S. Thompson. He really did the author and Character justice. This movie is entertaining to say the least. My favorite line of the movie, as well as my favorite Hunter S. Thompson quote would be “You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug. Especially when Its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye.” This movie is when I finally was sold on Johnny Depp. I then realized he was so much more and not just a pretty face.

In Once Upon a Time in Mexico finds Johnny as a cunning and creepy CIA agent. He gets into some messed up predicaments in this movie and is even betrayed by his girlfriend. Anyway this role was great. I think he pulled it off beautifully and it illustrated the wide range of roles he is able to perform. My favorite line from this movie would be “Are you a Mexican or a Mexican’t?” I love it.

I don’t know if I could ever pick my favorite from these two roles. I have a hard time choosing any favorite Johnny Depp role. My indecision will now only worsen.

I am EAGERLY anticipating the Sweeney Todd Demon Barber of Fleet Street Premier. I can;t WAIT for this movie to come out! Have you seen and heard Johnny sing? He is MAGNIFICENT. You must visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site to get your wallpapers for your desktop and visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace to get your myspace layouts.

Tia Dalma

Pirates-Caribbean-3-28-tia-dalmaI love Tia Dalma. I want to be her when I grow up. I did a search on her and landed at an article here. Naomie Harris the actor who portrays Dalma says that Dalma isn’t conventionally attractive. Well neither is Jack Sparrow, but hes hot. Tia Dalma is just as hot.

I think shes the second best charachter to Jack and no one talks about her. I also personally think that she carried POTC 3… until her departure. Anyway I am gonna wait a little longer to talk about POTC 3.

Anyway, you rock Calypso!

POTC3
Fri 25 May 2007 - Filed under: Entertainment, Movies — saintamyjane

Don’t worry, I won’t give anything away.

Johnny Depp was once again great as Captain Jack. Keith Richards pulled of the part of Captaing Jack Sparrow’s father Captain Teague Sparrow. Will and Elizabeth are forever too mushy and there were some departures I was unhappy with. I hope there is a 4th. They have proven they can conjure up decent adventures that don’t get boring.

I am warming up more to Orlando Bloom. I have always thought he is JUST the pretty boy to sell movies and something for the girls my daughters age (shes 9 if you have forgotten) to get excited about. This is funny because the man is my age! Orlando Bloom really is William Turner. There will never be another, such as the same with Jack and the rest of the crew. If you want a Pirate AND a Gentleman Will Turner is your man. Hes a pretty good actor and I don’t think of him as a pretty boy anymore, but he is pretty good looking :)

As usual Captain Jack is a loon, but a very hot loon. Elizabeth is still Pirating her way to the truth along with Will (i could do without the professions of love everytime you see them on the screen together). Captain Barbossa is Just as stubborn and mean as the first movie and the rest of the crew still follows all or one of them around as usual.

It was a good 3rd movie. I’ll probably see it again in the theaters. You know I will have the DVD :)
