ooooo…. two days in a row
Wed 26 Mar 2008 - Filed under: Baseball, Life, School, Soccer, Sports — saintamyjane

I start school tomorrow. Yeah i just go to school online, it is school nonetheless. I am tired from work. I have devised a plan to take are of some of my debt and we are going to buy soccer cleats this friday for my daughter.

I really want to see a baseball game… Oh and congrats to Crisitano Ronaldo for his record setting season of most goals over there  at Manchester United. Last I checked he was at 34 goals.  I know I just said I wanted to see a baseball game and then talk about soccer, but I am upset about the state of baseball.

I will be doing taxes this weekend and rearranging some furniture.

I will be talking specifics soon. I have some issues to vent about, but now is not the time.

wow… haven’t been here in awhile

March 9th marked one year of my blog, and I was no where to be found. I have been working and relaxing. We are going through many transitions, but when the dust settles here in the next week, I just might have time to update this blog more often.

But like I said we are going through a lot right now, but it is all good stuff. I am really liking my job and it keeps me off my ass. Plus the money isn’t bad.

Oh eah and its baseball season again! GO A’S AND GIANTS!

Springtime
Fri 18 Jan 2008 - Filed under: Baseball, Life, Weather — saintamyjane

I’m little miss doom and gloom right now so I am going to talk about something that makes me happy. And almost giddy really. Springtime. Yes. Something as simple as that makes me happy. No purchase required. Just  A LOT of friggin’ patients. I am running low on that.

Anyway there is so much to love about springtime. The warmth, flowers blooming, baseball players (hopefully whom aren’t juiced) and new beginnings. Springtime has always been the season when good things happen for me.

I can’t wait. ::sighs:: But I guess I  have to x;|.

Say it ain’t so Barry… and uh Roger Clemens… and Lenny Dykstra too?
Thu 13 Dec 2007 - Filed under: Baseball, Sports, WTF? — saintamyjane

This baseball steroid thing is right up there with rising gas prices and my finances in causing bad stomach aches. All three make my stomach turn and I am hoping all three get better.

The names named in the Mitchell Report isn’t really the issue. Its the accomplishments those names have made that is in jeopardy. Baseball history could be altered and baseballs path is to be rewritten once again. This time with indictments, allegations, informants and outside drug testing agencies.

I wrote in this blog post that i really didn’t care what Barry did, I am still a fan. I still stand by that.

Was it right to do what these players have all been called on? Was it illegal? Did they know it was wrong?

Seems to me if you put a bunch of men together they really don’t know whats going on half the time and at that moment it probably felt totally acceptable to “juice” up the game. And that was probably just the owners.

They should have let them continue using cocaine; bloated gods or sucked up crackheads? seems baseball benefited for years with the former. Human growth hormone was unchartered territory no taboo associated with it as is with cocaine. So it went undetected that these big names were enhancing their performance, attendances rise, records break everyone is rich and fat (no pun intended) and happy.

Ok I’m rambling and talking shit. Oh an one more thing… I think it does have to do with owners… Pacbell/SBC/ATT park is the park that Barry built… perhaps on a shaky foundation? I mean the phone company can’t even settle with a damned name. (no offense AT&T… and i’ll pay my bill soon too…)

Perhaps the writing is on the wall about Barry. But he isn’t the only one to be held accountable. It looks like this WILL go right on up to the owners. These high profile players are temporary scape goats and ultimately the owners benefited.

My baseball hero was indicted today
Fri 16 Nov 2007 - Filed under: Sports, WTF? — saintamyjane

Seriously I wanted to cry.

I don’t want to hear about what Barry Bonds supposedly did, and I don’t give a shit if its true. I wonder how many players are in the baseball hall of fame that were juiced. You don’t think there is any? Then you are as naive as I am.

I hope none of it sticks. I mean he isn’t O.J.Simpson for fucks sake.

They can’t take those home runs away. All his fans know those were his.

And no one in major league baseball could have done what he did. EVEN if THEY were juiced. Yeah nimrod (or excuse me, A-rod) is supposed to break Bonds’ record some time in the next decade, but seriously, so what.

Screw that asterisk, the feds and Jeff Passan.

NCAA kicks blogger out of baseball game
Tue 12 Jun 2007 - Filed under: Blogging, Sports, Technology — saintamyjane

oopsie daisy… don’t just blog anywhere people. This poor soul was ousted by NCAA officials during the 5th inning of a championship baseball game. Is this censorship? I’m not too sure, but i’ll be keeping an eye out to see what happens. I wonder if anyone else has encountered this? Is this a first for blogging?
