Charlotte Bronte Might have Died from Hyperemesis Gravidarum
I read this blog post on BronteBlog about how it was possible Charlotte Bronte died of Hyperemesis Gravidarum! I wonder how far back HG goes. I mean when was it first diagnosed?
Read the blog post here. (you have to scroll down about half way. The words "Hyperemesis Gravidarum" are linked.)

Hello,
I'm Cristina from BrontëBlog. Thank you for the link. I'm glad you found it interesting. Theories on the cause of Charlotte Brontë's death abound, but in recent years Hyperemesis Gravidarums looks like the most 'popular', even though some biographers claim it was TB, typhus, a stomach bug... At this point it's impossible to know for sure.
There isn't even consensus on whether Charlotte was pregnant or not, though it seems highly likely. But even if she never said so openly - it wasn't discussed much at the time - from her letters it looks like she herself thought she could be pregnant. An old teacher even knitted a baby cap for her.
Good luck to everyone dealing with HG.
